Walking & Hiking
A walk along the Paunacussing Creek is a gentle climb up Fleecydale Road toward the historic village of Carversville on one of the prettiest roads in Bucks County.
Cross over the historic foot-bridge to Bull’s Island Natural Area and walk along the canal or learn about the local flora and fauna with the Park Naturalist.
For a longer trek, head north or south on the towpath along the Delaware Canal. With its wooden bridges, remnants of locks, hand-built stone-arched culverts, and the 19th century houses, it is a wonderful attraction for history lovers.
Hikers who enjoy a more challenging trail will find it at Tohickon Valley Park and Ralph Stover State Park. This trail follows the scenic TohickonCreek. There are short ascents and descents, stream crossings, and cliff overlooks with stunning viewpoints.
