"Beautiful view of the river, exquisitely appointed rooms, and fabulous food!!!" ~Facebook Reviewer
“First I want to thank you for allowing us to stay in the River Suite; this room is quickly becoming our favorite and we look forward to returning to it this summer. Our dining experience in the private dining room on Saturday night was nothing short of exceptional and the port wine and brandy were a great treat. Lastly, the Sunday Brunch was just terrific and we all look forward to a Sunday morning trip just for it, again, we want to say thanks to you and your staff for making our stay and the stay of our friends so memorable; so much so, we plan on bringing a bigger group next February. Many thanks.” ~Tom D.
“I had such a pleasant experience at the Black Bass that I feel compelled to give them credit. My wife and I booked the Fieldstone Suite, which is a duplex with a small living room (facing the road) and bathroom on the first floor, with a steep staircase leading to a nicely proportioned bedroom, and half bath overlooking the river. The entire property was recently renovated and the craftsmanship is wonderful. The floors are beautiful old pine wood but the bathrooms are completely modern. Our bath was oversized with nice marble mosaic tile work and a dressing room with a sink in an antique cabinet. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfasts (served in a dining room overlooking the river) were a pleasure.” ~Trip Advisor Reviewer
"The dining view couldn't get better! Either inside or out, you can truly enjoy the beauty of Upper Bucks County with a view of the Delaware River and Canal while you enjoy fabulous food!" ~Facebook Reviewer
“We had a very good dinner in the restaurant on March 6th and dinner in the bar on the 7th. The Chef is innovative and his food was wonderful. Sunday brunch was a very pleasant experience. We picked the Raven Rock Suite and were very pleased with it. The service in both the Hotel and the Restaurant was excellent. Even the General Stores' employees were very gracious and served very good sandwiches. Everyone was very accommodating. We bought a gift certificate for a wedding gift for a friend. They are anxious to spend time at the hotel. We just thought you would like to know what a wonderful job we think you are doing. You must be doing something right when guests leave planning their next visit.” ~Nancy and Allan M.
“The restoration has brought this beautiful, old historic landmark up to date while retaining the integrity of its historical significance. We have had dinner there over the years many times. We were eager to try it now that it has reopened. It turns out the chef who was there before the restoration is back and the fare is simply incredible. We both had the swordfish which may well be the best swordfish anywhere. Their homemade sorbet was beyond-the-pale delicious. The ambiance of the place was delightful with its beautiful view of the Delaware River, the service by the wait staff was excellent and gracious. The price was very fair especially considering the high quality. If you are looking for an excellent place for a romantic dinner in Bucks County where the food is excellent, the service is of top quality, and the ambiance a real treat, this is a place you will want to come. If you have dined at the Black Bass before the restoration, you will be delighted at what they have done. No effort has been spared. You will not be disappointed. Dining out doesn't get much better than this.” ~Trip Advisor Reviewer
"Excellent food and most excellent service! Thank you, Black Bass Hotel, for an unforgettable evening with extended family from all over the continent." ~Facebook Reviewer
"Excellent restaurant, food, service, location and historic ambiance. We were given a choice of table's, adjacent to the fireplace or at the window overlooking the river, which we chose. In my opinion, winter is a perfect time to go there with the banks of the river being snow covered and a pedestrian bridge within a few yards crossing the river. Extremely romantic also. Can't wait to go back." ~Open Table Reviewer
